The Holy Grail
Zoence Special Event led by Peter Dawkins
22-23 September 2012
Jupiter Artland, Bonnington House, Kirk Newton, Edinburgh, Scotland
What is the Holy Grail? Is it a cup or vessel of some kind? Is it a royal bloodline? Is it the Virgin Mary? Or Mary Magdalene? What is it really and what is its purpose?
Connected with this, what is the Grail Land or Grail Kingdom? Where is it? Why is it so named? What is its association with the Arthurian legends and why is it important to us today?
Moreover, how does all this relate to us personally, and to us as a society, and to us as a world civilisation?
During this weekend, led by Peter Dawkins, we will explore the answers to these questions in various ways, such as through talks, discussions, meditations, inner explorations within our own psyche and outer explorations in the Jupiter Artland landscape.
Jupiter Artland is the award-winning “sculpture park” created by Robert and Nicola Wilson within the landscaped grounds of their home, Bonnington House. This is located just west of Edinburgh and forms the focus of a ‘sephira’ of the Edinburgh-Pentland Hills geomantic Tree of Life. The Edinburgh-Pentland Hills landscape temple, complete with its own chakra system as well as Tree of Life pattern, forms the brow chakra of the much greater landscape temple that stretches from the south of France to the north of Scotland and which, for various good reasons, we call the Grail Kingdom or Grail Land.
We will be following this weekend with a six-day retreat on the Isle of Iona, ‘Beloved Iona’ (24-30 September 2012). If required, we are intending to organise transport between Bonnington and Iona for the purpose.
