The Temple Science

Man lives in a body which is his personal temple, and in an environment which is a greater temple. The one is associated with the other in special and powerful ways. Both are composed of metaphysical as well as physical patterns of energy, and each form or part of the form has its particular function and consciousness.

 

Just as architecture is composed of an idea or design plus a building that expresses that design, so also does the cosmos. The idea is a thought-form and the building is a material form. The thought-form precedes the material form but, once built, both exist together. Moreover, the material form and the use of it feeds back to the mind such that the mind may adjust the thought-form and then cause alterations to be made to the building; or the mind may create a newer, better thought-form for a future building.

 

However, the highest, most spiritual thought-forms are the Great Archetypes, and these are beyond change, being eternally complete and perfect. All other ideas exist within and are subordinate to these primary Ideas.

 

To know, really know, these archetypal Ideas and the Supreme Cause that lies behind them, is the goal of all true philosophy, science and mysticism. Zoence is dedicated to this aim. We are all helped by the fact that, whilst the inner forms or ideas create the outer forms, the outer forms express and reveal, howbeit in varying degrees, the inner forms. To know one is an aid to knowing the other.

 

In terms of the cosmos and the planet, the science and art of this is Geocosmology.

 

Awareness and knowledge of these things leads to a greater love, understanding and reverence of life, and enables us to live better and more fulfilled lives. With skill we can recognise how everything relates to everything else, and discover what is best to do in any place at any time in order to produce harmony and joy.
