Living in Harmony

The world we see about us and the body we inhabit are basically structures of energy. All structures of energy constitute architecture, whether man-made or natural, and we merely imitate the design-and-build process of the Cosmos when we construct our own houses, towns, cities, gardens, parks, etc..

Beautiful and harmonious structures are known as temples. Our own bodies can be temples, as can be our homes, offices and environment. Likewise the landscape of nature can be a temple, on both small and large scales—temples within temples.

Humanity and nature are mutually interdependent. Whatever we do to nature we do to ourselves, as we are essentially part of nature. We have the power to enhance nature’s beauty, or to pollute and destroy it.

To create a paradise, a temple, is an art. How to do it is a science. It requires a trained sensitivity together with an instinctive, a rational and ultimately an intuitive consciousness and appreciation of ourselves and our environment: both of the outer form or body and also of the inner form or idea which underlies and constructs the outer form.
